The ACUP held the seminar 'The future of university cooperation for development'

On December, 9th 2013, the ACUP held the seminar 'The future of university cooperation for development' to discuss this topic related to Catalan universities in the context of the economic crisis and the shift of the paradigm of cooperation for development. During the seminar the experts Jolie Franke of Nuffic (Netherlands) and Kristen Verbrugghen VLIR-UOS (Belgium) shared their experiences and their visions of the future. On the other hand, Maria Rosa Terradellas from the Universitat de Girona, Josep Casanovas from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Jordi Prat from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona presented the various ways in which Catalan universities are facing this new situation. Finally, Carles Llorens form the Agencia Catalana de Cooperació and Cesar Espada from the Agencia Española para la Cooperación Internacional exposed the perspectives of the Catalan and Spanish governments in the field of university cooperation.
