Privacy policy

In accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, and in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), we inform you that the personal data you provide through the website www.acup.cat, via contact forms, as well as the data you provide in the context of your participation in activities, training sessions or in your relationship with the ASSOCIACIÓ CATALANA D’UNIVERSITATS PÚBLIQUES (Tax ID G-64138910), will be incorporated into our information systems.

Purpose of Processing

  • Management of your participation in activities and training sessions organised by the Association.
  • Handling of enquiries and requests received through the website forms or by electronic means.
  • Communication of activities and updates related to the academic and university field, when you have expressly authorised such communications.
  • If you participate in in-person activities, photographs or recordings in which you may appear, individually or in groups, may be taken for publication on the Association’s website and social media channels.

Data Retention

The data provided will be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the stated purposes and, in any case, for a maximum of five years, unless you request their deletion earlier or legal obligations require a longer retention period.

Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing your personal data is your express consent and the management of the relationship arising from your participation in activities or enquiries.

Data Disclosure

Your data will not be disclosed to third parties except in the following cases:

  • Legal obligation.
  • Data processors providing services to the Association (website hosting, email services, IT maintenance), with whom the corresponding data processing agreements have been signed.

Rights of Data Subjects

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority (www.apdcat.cat) if you consider that the processing does not comply with current regulations.

Security Measures

The Association declares that it has implemented the necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of personal data and to prevent their alteration, loss, or unauthorised processing or access, taking into account the state of technology and the nature of the data processed.

Limitations

To protect users’ privacy, it is strictly prohibited to submit data concerning your ideology, religion, beliefs, racial origin, health, or sexual life through the website forms.

Automated Decision-Making

No automated individual decisions or profiling will be carried out using your data.

Dispute Resolution
