HEIRRI (Higher Education Institutions & RRI) project

HEIRRI is a European project H2020 that aimed to integrate the concept of "Responsible Research and Innovation" (RRI) in university degrees in science and technology, so that research and innovation meet the needs, values ​​and expectations of society.

HEIRRI aimed to create educational tools to integrate Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the different levels of education, including practicing researchers, but also doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate students, who will then learn to think, anticipate and observe their future careers through the prism of the RRI.

HEIRRI was led by Pompeu Fabra University and was attended by the University of Aarhus (Denmark), the University of Bergen (Norway), the University of Split (Croatia), the Institute for Advanced Studies (Austria), the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation (Barcelona), the company Innovatec (Madrid), the European network of museums and science centers Ecsite, and the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) / Global University Network for innovation (GUNi ).

The materials developed by the project, Teaching and Learning Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in Universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEI), are available in English and Spanish on the website www.guninetwork.org/resources-teachers-researchers

The ACUP led and coordinated two WPs of the project: the WP of Communication and Dissemination and the WP of Internationalization.
