Open Conference: Connecting Actors for Sustainable Development in the Context of the United Nations 2030 Agenda

The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will bring together, on November 10th-11th, social, scientific and cultural institutions, acting as a nexus between these offices, the local community, public administrations and specialized institutes. A wide range of actors come together at Sant Pau in order to generate innovative proposals and practical solutions to some of contemporary society’s most critical challenges. The Agenda for Development 2030 is, by far, the most ambitious policy agenda in the history of the United Nations. Emerging as a new global framework for sustainable development, this Agenda defines 17 Sustainable Development Goals for education, public health, human rights, cities, land and marine ecosystems, and other key areas.

In order to meet the established targets, knowledge exchange, shared understanding and joint solutions are not only advisable, they are essential. ”Connecting Actors for Sustainable Development in the Context of the United Nations 2030 Agenda” will offer a holistic, practical and action-oriented approach to the 2030 Agenda. The open conference and technical seminar are designed as a meeting point between Sant Pau resident institutions and members of the local community interested in learning about the UN’s new sustainable development framework and its practical applications in the urban context.
