The ACUP and the CIC ready for the APAIE international fair
More than 30 representatives of Catalan, public and private universities participated on February 22 in the informative session on the system of higher education and research in Malaysia. During the session, Dr. Abdullah of the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia presented the Malaysian higher education system and its internationalization policies. Dr. Vesna Prchkovska, co-founder and COO of QMENTA, talked about the experience of research mobility in Malaysia and the doctoral student and associate lecturer at the University of Barcelona, Yen Keong Cheah, talked about his experience of mobility from Malaysia to Catalonia.
The session consisted of a preparatory day for the delegation that willparticipate in the conference and international fair APAIE in Kuala Lumpur that will take place in Malaysia from 25-29 March this year. The ACUP and the CIC will participate with the stand 'Study in Catalonia' with the aim of promoting relations between Catalan universities and Asian universities while giving visibility to the Catalan university system. It will be the seventh edition in which the Catalan university system takes part in the fair. The previous editions in which it participated were those of the year 2018 in Singapore, 2017 in Kaohsiung (Taiwan), 2016 in Melbourne (Australia), 2015 in Beijing (China), 2014 in Seoul (South Korea) and 'year 2013 in Hong Kong (China).
APAIE is a large-scale education fair with more than 100 stands and more than 1,000 delegates from around the world. It includes conferences, workshops, exhibitions, networking events and visits to local universities. APAIE is an international non-profit association, founded in 2004, at the University of Korea. It is formed by university representatives from thirteen countries / regions of Asia-Pacific. This association has as its main objective to increase cooperation between higher education academic institutions, promote research, stimulate and facilitate the exchange and internationalization of higher education in Asia, the Pacific regions and the world . It also wants to promote the internationalization of academic institutions and support them.
