Assumpció Vila i Simon
President of the Social Council of the Universitat de Girona
Born in Sarrià de Ter in 1957, Vila holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona (UB) and an MBA from ESADE. She is administrator and financial director of LC Paper 1881, based in Beuda (La Garotxa).
Between 2003 and 2007 she was Councillor for Culture and Economic Promotion at Sarrià de Ter Town Council and, since 1994, she has coordinated the magazine "Parlem de Sarrià".
